Terms of Service

Cited Lens audits a website for signals that AI answer engines (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and similar) use to find, parse, and cite it, and optionally checks live whether your brand is mentioned in response to category questions. It's an independent tool — not affiliated with OpenAI, Google, Anthropic, Perplexity, or Cloudflare.

We can't guarantee any AI system will cite your site, now or after applying our fix files — model behavior is outside our control and changes over time. The score and checks reflect publicly documented best practices at the time you run them, not a promise of outcome.

Live citation checks work by querying AI providers' own web interfaces rather than their paid APIs, which may be subject to those providers' terms of service. We run this at our own risk; a provider becoming unavailable through this method doesn't entitle you to a refund or credit.

You're responsible for the accuracy of the URLs, brand names, and categories you submit, and for keeping access to your account (email link or Google sign-in) secure. Don't use the service to audit sites you don't have permission to test.

The audit and monitoring dashboard are free. The done-for-you fix is a one-time, custom-scoped engagement quoted before any work starts. Pro-plan subscriptions are billed and processed by Dodo Payments, our merchant of record; refunds follow their standard policy unless we've agreed otherwise in writing.

We may update these terms or the service itself as it evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated date.
